Located off the west coast of Queen Anne’s County, Kent Island sits at the base of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, connecting Maryland’s eastern and western shores. Queen Anne’s County was organized in 1706. In 1773 a part of Queen Anne’s County, together with a portion of Dorchester County, was taken to form Caroline County.
